The Interior Design Coalition of Arizona (IDCA) once again came up empty
on their attempt to pass legislation to regulate interior designers.
While their lobbyists insist they had a sponsor, well placed sources
close to AZIDALERT revealed that no sponsors were willing to take on

Because there have been so many attempts by the ASID/IIDA coalitions to
regulate all of us out of business in 2007 and 2008, a new and dedicated
trade organization has formed for the purpose of fighting interior
design legislation in every state. To read more,

The first annual and highly coveted Pillow Tossers Award was given to
Clark Neily, Senior Attorney at the Institute for Justice, in
recognition of his outstanding article published on April 1, 2008 (April
Fools Day) in the Wall Street Journal. Mr. Neily’s article was followed
by many bloggers (click Opinion Journal Forum at the bottom of the page)
in favor of legislation. These are well worth reading where they show
again just why you don’t want these people making any decisions on your

The coalitions are
trying to use the issue of health, safety and welfare of the consumer as
one of their ever changing reasons for the need for interior design
